I've been a customer of Danny's for about 3x years now, and I find him to be an excellent hairdresser \ barber. My girlfriend is also a client of his and couldn't be happier.
I followed him from a Salon close by (forget the name), then to Who Cares, and then to this new salon at Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal.
Great personality, great talent, and a nice guy. My GF thinks the same, and also tells me she likes the Wella products they use there. I'm not a product guy, so I'll take her word for it :)

What a tragic experience!
I found Danny on Treatwell and from the reviews I felt confident I was in safe hands. Little did I know I would I was about to pay a huge price for choosing Danny to colour my hair. Danny appeared very inexperienced and referred to his wonderful colleagues frequently for advice (thank goodness they were there). The colour on my hair was OK thanks to the advice offered by his colleagues and my strong advice to add a toner to my very orange hair! Danny bought it to my attention that he had got BLEACH on my very expensive dress! As this was at the back (where a gown should have been covering) I asked Danny if it was bad, he LAUGHED and responded “it’s not good”. Thankfully his colleague had the common sense to try and remove the dried on bleach whilst Danny quite frankly whimpered off like a school boy who’d been caught doing something wrong!! Almost 4 HOURS later and desperate to get out, I stupidly paid and left. I met friends for lunch who were flabbergasted at the bleach stains on my dress! I decided to go back to the salon the next day once I had been able to remove my dress and see the irreversible damage. Little to my surprise Danny ignored me in the salon whilst I spoke with the lovely owner of the shop (not his boss sadly) who said she’ll ask Danny to get in contact as this was not okay. Danny did make contact...I’ve had everything from being blamed for the bleach stains for MOVING to the stain having been rectified in store. Has this man ever used bleach!? Once it touches a material it will lift the dye!! When asking if Danny has public liability insurance; which would cover the damage to a clients hair or property, you can guess the response (or lack of). Sadly I will be moving this to a small claims court. For me this isn’t about money but justice. It’s outrageous you can go for a lovely experience of a hair colour and come out with very average colouring (which I had to add another ash colour over the top) and damaged clothing. This rude, obnoxious man has been incredibly insulting and unprofessional! Just don’t risk having this man go any where near your hair...or clothing! I will update treatwell reviews with the outcome of our court hearing where I hope this man will reflect on what he is doing, possible get some more training and maybe insurance
