***Non-Dutch friendly!*** I've been to VN Nails three times now for an underarm wax, so it's high time I left a review. When I arrived for my first appointment, the salon was undergoing renovations, and it's now finished really beautifully! The decor is lovely and has a really unique, relaxing vibe that's very welcoming. A really nice place to walk into :) As for the wax itself, Ngannie gives me the best wax I've ever had -- I'll be away in the summer and I'm not looking forward to having to substitute her for a month. She's fast and efficient, and never misses a hair, which is really great for me, as I've got quite fine curly hair and other salons often leave some behind (which then grows out and ruins the wax, and which I end up having to pluck myself at home). The wax is more expensive than I'm used to paying, but the results are well worth it. Ngannie and her colleague are also both really friendly and really make you feel at home. I won't go anywhere else! The one thing people should know is that Ngannie has a very small, friendly dog (think chihuahua-size), but he has his own closed-off spot in the salon and doesn't run around. I don't mind so much since he's got his own space, but others might, especially if they have a phobia/allergy. If not, please don't let her tiny dog put you off, as Ngannie is really great and VN Nails is definitely worth a visit! At some point I'll be treating myself to a manicure too.
