Absolutely overpriced
Heerlijke behandeling. Veel aandacht en zorg. Jammer dat voetenbad niet op temperatuur blijft. ik had t best koud op het laatst.
Thanks, it had been fabulous
Upon arrival we thought the hotel and spa looked amazing and were very excited to take time from our holiday to relax. After being greeted and escorted downstairs to where the treatments take place, we passed the indoor pool which was extremely loud with screaming children. As we passed into the area to wait to be called for our 11 am treatment, it seemed to quiet down. It was not until we began our couples massage that for the FULL 50 minutes we heard screaming children through the walls. The massage was horrible which was such a shame since the therapists were so good and professional. We decided not to use the hammam or steam room since the children at 12 noon were still at the pool. After our treatment the woman at the front desk asked how the treatment was and we informed her exactly of what had happened. As we were talking the woman with the three children walked up to regain entry as it looked as though they had stepped out for a moment. The woman I was speaking to let her know that they could not enter back to the pool due to it being past the time for children to have entry. This shocked me since I spent my entire treatment listening to this, was never informed of the hours that children were allowed to use the spa area prior to arriving, and the fact the woman openly stated although the kids were at the pool absolutely NO ONE was watching the time or being mindful of those spending 300 Euros for treatments. I was appalled and even more offended when she simply offered me a 15% discount and blamed the hotel for kids allowed and took no ownership for not monitoring the hours children are allowed at the pool. I will be following up with management and will NEVER be returning to that spa. Such a disappointment.
A wonderful place in the heart of Amsterdam, unfortunately overpriced. The place itself is great, gorgeous swimmingpool, great sauna, all is beautiful. However service is fine but not to the standard of a five star, and I had several surprises that after thinking about make me think I might not retourn: there were kids yelling in the swimming pool during my all treatments (jesus, when you bring your kids to such a place please make sure they are quiet!!), the massage was good though not exceptional, and yhe facial was... Weird. First I would have expected to be asked about my skin and have the therapist having a proper look at my face before dtarting the treatment. None of that happen. Hop a peeling, hop a mask, shoulder massage and serum + cream (or at least I assume as she wasn't explaining much what she was doing)... Of perfect, hope it's what my skin needed... Only to have the treatment finished with a hot towel on my face (which was needed cause I still had some leftover of mask on my cheeks...). With no cream after my skin felt very dried, first thing I did at home was to put some cream :-((((( It is still a wonderful place, but for the price I paid I would not have expected that. A pity!
